Falling in love with Fishtown.

I was about to post some images and confess some intended indulgences but I have no photographs yet. Nevertheless, I have visited Fishtown once with Andrew, once with Corey, and once with my mom, when we signed the lease.

Andrew and I shared my first experience of the Rocket Cat Cafe, just a few blocks from my new apt. It was just as new-age scenestery as a lot of Fishtown. With vegan cheese and creamer, fruits to buy in the mini-fridge, and a local artist's wonderful display of many (many) paintings and other artworks of Michael Jackson.

Corey and I ate at a really delicious Indian restuarant, Ekta:

Mom and I ate at JohnnyBrenda's. Also delicious.

It seems silly that the bulk of my first impressions are eateries, since I doubt that I will be spending much money on food once I actually get to live there. However, so many of the establishments in Fishtown are unique and family owned etc, I can't help but seek them all out.

My Exciting Life.

I have spent many years trying to discover a way to best document my days. I have done so for my own future reference and reminders of times-past, as well as to share my goings-on with others. I have been following several blogs as of late, and none compare in beauty or eloquence to that of Yelena. She has inspired me to take up a blogger as such a tool of documentation, as well as a way to motivate myself to do things worth documenting. This will be especially trying, living alone in a new city. Wish me luck...
